8 Black Travel Bloggers to Follow Right Now!

As we’re moving into April, daydreams of spring breaks and summer vacations are just around the corner (or if you’re like us, already your wallpaper to keep you going) We’re eager to experience new places, cuisines, and cultures– and after two years of being predominately indoors– we’re itching to get out.

Travel bloggers have always been a big hit but are reaching new audience analytics with the explosion of TikTok and Instagram reels. They teleport us to some of the most majestic places imaginable, reminding us that the world is a lot wider than we think. While we love to explore sights unknown, there is a huge lack of diversity in the travel blogging sphere that needs to be addressed. With that said, we’re here to uplift and shoutout the amazing Black bloggers that are spreading #BlackExcellence and #BlackGirlMagic around the world!

Pop over to their pages and make sure you send them some love. Where will you want to go to next??

Francesca @onegrloneworld: A Los Angeles based blogger, Francesa’s feed is a feast for your senses. Drool-worthy posts of amazing places season her socials, as she encourages her followers to immerse themselves in the beauty of different experiences. In addition to visiting incredible countries, Francesca shares her top tips for Black women to take care of their skin and hair while traveling, and her recommendations for sites to see at different destinations. (We especially love her beauty suggestions from different countries– the French products to snag are especially fabulous!)

The Hambrick Family @thetravelingchild: We’re a little obsessed with this fierce family! Miami based and world explorers, The Hambricks are show their amazing adventures in raising travel-bug-bitten kiddos. While so many families may be nervous about traveling with children, the Hambricks have leaned full-throttle into their kids tasting and touching all the world has to offer. Stating, “if kids live there, kids can visit.” (Their girls have just been to their 33rd country!)

In addition to raising daredevils, they’re sure to share the tips to afford travel, the best activities and each country’s COVID/documentation requirements. Thanks for inspiring us to dream big, Hambricks!

Erick Prince @minoritynomad: Travel journalist and photographer Erick is on a mission to visit every country in the world. While the places he’s been to are undoubtedly gorgeous, what makes Prince stand apart is how he captures the people of those places. With historic and personal captions, he photographs and speaks to people of all backgrounds. His storytelling and devotion to capturing humanity in all its forms is exquisite. Check out Erick’s socials for his musings on travel, connectivity, and life.

Her page expands on luxurious self care, fine dining, and travelling as an art and lifestyle. From a spa in Atlanta to a decadent restaurant in New Orleans– we love that she preaches you should spend your money on what makes you happy, rather than catering to society and social media. She highlights Black wineries, restaurants, and businesses reminding us that life itself is a reason to celebrate!
