10 Black Bloggers Who Killed It In 2021

Bloggers have captivated us for decades now. From 2009 YouTube hauls to 2022 websites and chic social channels, their ability to connect and share what lights them up is a revolutionary part of consistently growing and changing media. Black bloggers especially have always dazzled their audiences with their endless creativity and passion– elevating blogging and content creation for all. 

That being said, we want to rewind to 2021 and look at some of the Black bloggers who have blown us away. Their dedication to their craft, boundless fresh ideas, and Black joy and community celebration is an incredible gift. Read on to get inspired, and be sure to show these fantastic creatives some love!

  1. Angela Davis @thekitchenista:  A lady whose wit is as sharp as her knives– the Kitchenista is here. Angela is a home cook, digital cookbook author, and incredible blogger on all things food and family. Her drool-worthy recipes are an invitation to expand our palettes and re-imagine childhood favorites. From walking us through her grocery store to baking in her home, Angela invites you to participate in the culinary conversation. Her style is both aspirational and attainable, and we cannot wait to see what she’s cooking next. (We’re already dreaming of her mango pie for this summer!) 

  2. Dr. Ebony Utley @ebony.yoga: A self-described ‘yoga-preneur’, Dr. Utley has created a beautiful corner of the internet. It is a love letter dedicated to all bodies who want a deeper connection to their physical and spiritual space. Ebony Yoga has various yoga flows available, meditations to soothe your mind, and hosts weekend retreats led by Black and Brown women to encourage us to ground ourselves in the present moment. We’re doing backbends over this incredible company and are especially excited to slip into her Yin Yoga class. 

  3. Oneika Raymond @oneikatraveller: Looking for the ultimate wanderlust page? Look no further than perpetual traveler and journalist, Oneika. With 80+ countries on her passport, with a husband and baby in tow, she encourages us to embrace life with outstretched hands. To live life to the fullest– whatever that might mean to us. Check out their page for endless outfit imagination, and a reminder that clothing is a delicious means of self expression! The Dallas dynamic duo plays with colors, current style trends and forecasts, while giving fresh eyes to classic pieces. We love their message of style at any age, and that dressing up is a joyful, rebellious artform!

Tonya Rapley @myfabfinance, @tonyarapley: Millennial money expert Tonya Rapley has built a ground-breaking community committed to helping women– particularly women of color– manage their money and make financial decisions they can stand confidently behind. They ensure that they’re boosting Black businesses by providing Black-owned banks and credit unions to support. And, MyFabFinance breaks down financial jargon into easy-to-understand definitions, while staying relevant to the current state of the economic world.
